Hristo Hristov is the pastor of the Bulgarian Evangelical Church - Dallas, the only Bulgarian congregation in DFW. Born in Sofia, Bulgarian he becomes Christian at the age of 17, two years after the fall of the communism in the country. Just one month after that he was baptized in water and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit at his home church in “Poduene”. From there, his life took a steady course into ministry. He was very active in his church and served for several years as Executive Secretary of the National Youth organization of “The Assemblies of God in Bulgaria”.

In 1999 he immigrates to the United States with his wife Sonia. They moved to Dallas at the end of 2000 to plant the Bulgarian Evangelical Church. Hristo Hristov is ordained as Pastor of the church in 2001 and his ordination is recognized by “The Assemblies of God – USA” in 2004 as they join the organization.

In 2004 Hristo and his wife Sonia had their first child, David. Currently they live in Carrollton, Texas.

Porter is in charge of our Music Ministry. Born and raised in Texas he speaks fluently Bulgarian language. He has traveled to Bulgaria more than a dozen times, and spent between three and five months each year from 1991 to 2002.  He was ministering  there as a missionary in evangelism, discipleship and teaching missions to the Muslim people. He also worked with the Louis Palau organization and with Youth With A Mission. Most of his time he spend in Plovdiv region and the Rodopi Mountain.

Porter developed his musical abilities while studying guitar and music at Tyler Junior College . He leads the worship ministry in our church since it's very beginning in year 2000.

In addition to his responsibilities Porter owns and runs medical spa-laser clinic, plays volleyball and enjoys the time with his adopted nephew and niece.

He is a single man and currently lives in Arlington, TX.
